Phase-separation technology allowed to return to the end-customer 772 m3 of oil out of 800 m3 of extracted sludge.

Niyaz Bakirov, Head of Mirrico’s Oil Tank Cleaning Division

Despite the complexity of works and other additional factors, cleaning was done with highest quality and on time. It was our first experience with cleaning of the oil tank with pontoon (floating) roof. Such design of the tank envisages numerous supports and less free space inside. Thus, the operators have to maneuver the robot with highest care. Furthermore, the sludge with significant quantities of paraffin got frozen even at above-zero temperatures. As the result we had to use steam to heat the tank and bottom sediments – says Niyaz.

These days the specialists of the Mirrico’s Mining Division are negotiating the possible usage of the robotic cleaning technology at other facilities of ROSNEFT (the works at BASHNEFT were monitored by SIBINTEC LLC). Despite the spread of COVID-19 virus, that brings serious challenges to the execution of works, Mirrico's employees start cleaning new 10000 m3 oil tank for YARGEO LLC (Russia, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region).
